The Ninja Three Step Process That Allows You To Creatively Improvise Fantastic-Sounding Blues Solos In Less Than A Week!
(Even If You’re A Total Beginner Or Have Never Improvised Before)

Improvising blues solos that sound and feel musical…
Seems like an elusive skill that is reserved only for those born with “talent”.
However, once you become aware of the two invisible obstacles that make great-sounding improvisation so difficult…
Which are otherwise known as the “creative freedom” paradox and the “robotic solo dilemma”.
And start using my simple three step process to easily overcome these barriers that have been holding you back…
You can improvise in a way that feels as natural and effortless as having a conversation with an old friend.
And instead of simply parroting back learned licks “note for note”...
You’ll be expressing your own unique and creative musical ideas that sound and feel awesome - in less than a week!
(That being said, you’ll probably experience a quantum leap in progress with this approach, within just a few hours)
Even if:
You don’t consider yourself to be naturally creative or musical.
You have zero music theory, don’t know a single scale, and can’t name any of the notes on the fretboard.
You’ve never improvised before or even played a guitar solo in your entire life.
You’ve tried improvising before - but it just sounds like someone parroting back scale notes in a mechanical or predictable manner.
So let’s cover the first invisible obstacle that’s likely been holding you back all this time:
The “Creative Freedom” Paradox Which Makes Expressing Musical Ideas Almost Impossible
If you’re like most guitar players…
When you think of improvising, you probably think of it like “musical freedom”.
After all, you can literally create any sound or style of playing when you improvise.
You could open your solo with a simple but powerful BB King inspired lick…
Which then transitions into some David Gilmour-esque bends…
Before ending with a fast SRV type run. Or even create an entirely new style of soloing that no ones ever heard before…
With improvisation, the possibilities are limitless and you can do anything.
And here’s the ironic twist.
When you can play anything…
On any part of the guitar neck…
You become so overwhelmed with options, that it shuts down the creative and decision making parts of your brain…
Making it impossible to just creatively express ideas that you’re happy with (no matter how much experience you have)...
So this “freedom” ends up becoming a prison for the natural creativity that you (and all players) have deep inside.
But thankfully there’s an easy way to solve this…
And you can find this lesson in one of the most unlikely and surprising sources:
The “Cybernetic Assassin” Method For Effortless Creativity
When you think of brilliant blues improv...
You’re probably more likely to think of BB King than Arnold Scwharzenegger…
Yet one of the most powerful lessons for creative blues solos comes from the classic movie: “The Terminator”.
And here’s why…
Originally this movie was intended to be shot entirely in a post-apocalyptic future where humans battled against an army of killer robots.
However, doing something like this requires a LOT of costly special effects…
And this was not possible due to the restrictive budget of the film.
And because of this, the director was forced to make changes…
So in the end, he rewrote the script so that the movie took place in the more budget friendly present day.
And instead of entire armies of robots… There would be just one cybernetic killing machine that was sent back from the future…
Which was camouflaged by its human-like appearance.
Now I don’t know about you…
But I think these creative adjustments added a lot more suspense to the movie…
While making the story FAR more interesting, unique, and compelling!
(Not to mention if the terminator was 100% robot, all of Arnold’s iconic catchphrases and lines probably wouldn’t have even featured in the film).
And this more creative and inspired story only came about because financial restrictions forced the director to come up with a creative solution, so…
Here’s The Crucial Lesson In This And How It Relates To Blues Improvisation
When you can create anything, you’ll likely become overwhelmed with options…
Or create something that is far too obvious or boring…
However if you impose restrictions on yourself, it literally forces your brain to produce creative, interesting, and unpredictable results!
Not to mention that you’ll instantly remove all the overwhelm by giving your brain a far more simple and focused challenge to deal with.
For example, if you can only use one note during each bar…
Unless you love monotonous solos…
It will naturally compel you to use all the other tools at your disposal (rhythm, dynamics, slides, bends, slurs, etc) to make this sound interesting.
Now, at this point, you might be thinking…
“But Erich I’ve tried something like this before, and yet my solos still sound uninspired and unmusical”
And if that’s the case you’re probably falling victim to:
The Robotic Solo Dilemma (and the subtle and simple solution)
Many players have experienced the sense of focus that comes from using a pentatonic shape, blues scale pattern, or even the “BB King box” to guide their solo…
Yet when they use this, it can sound mechanical and uninspired…
Like you’re just robotically parroting scale notes back over a backing track.
But why is that?
Aren’t you using the exact same tools and frameworks that all great blues guitarists have used?
Well, yes and no.
You see, these guitar players aren’t using these notes randomly…
They use them in a very particular way that’s “in conversation” with the music.
This is a subtle but brilliant technique that few guitar players are aware of or know how to use…
And if you’re not doing this, it’s automatically going to make your solos sound strange and less musical.
But what does being “in conversation” with the music actually mean?
Well, you can think of it like this…
If you’re having an actual conversation with someone about a certain topic like music…
And they just start randomly talking about airplanes, their childhood trip to France, and whether Peruvian or Mexican food is better…
While totally ignoring what you are saying…
It’s going to sound and feel awkward and unnatural.
And the same thing can happen with improvisation.
Because any time your solos are not “in conversation” with the music…
And your playing doesn’t match what’s going on with the rest of the band…
It’s going to sound unmusical and strange.
But here’s the subtle trick the pros use to make their solos feel musical and inspired:
They continually use notes from the chord that is currently playing…
And as the chord changes they follow this by changing the notes they are using…
Which automatically makes their solo feel more connected and in sync with the music.
But you can achieve this pro-level effect with beginner level skills…
All you need to do is simply play the root note of the chord, as this new chord appears.
Which means with just three notes, your playing can automatically sound more connected to the song and far more musical.
Something that is so simple, even a complete beginner can do it.
However, if you want to go from sounding good to great…
Then there’s one final piece of the puzzle left to cover.
But before we get into that…
Let's Recap What We’ve Covered So Far
Improvising creatively can feel difficult due to the “creative freedom” paradox which overwhelms your brain with options, making it difficult to come up with great-sounding musical ideas…
However, by imposing restrictions on your playing it instantly removes the overwhelm by narrowing the possibilities…
And this also forces your brain to come up with creative ways to work around the restriction…
Causing you to produce intriguing and unexpected musical ideas, which never sound boring or predictable.
And if you’ve ever felt like your playing sounded unmusical or like someone parroting scales instead of creating music…
It’s likely because your playing wasn’t “in conversation” with or connected to the music…
However, simply by playing the chord’s root note as that specific chord appears in the backing track…
You can easily create a strong sense of connection and “musical conversation”.
But that leads us to several other questions.
Especially when you remember that this approach is possible for total beginners to do in a short period of time.
Like, how can you…
Make just three boring notes sound interesting? (if you have no idea where to even start)
Create your own unique and original musical ideas, instead of just parroting back carefully pre rehearsed licks that you’ve learned.
Know the key of the song or what chord is being played at a given moment? (so you know what notes will sound good with the music)
Take your best ideas and then play them up and down the neck?
Transfer awesome licks you’ve learned to the 11 other musical keys - so you can play any of your licks or ideas with any song or backing track?
Take what you’ve learned and know how to apply this to different styles of blues music.
So let’s quickly answer all of that now:
How to Take Your Blues Improvisation Skills from Okay to Outstanding in Record Time (even if you're a beginner)
With this approach you’ll be using something called “visual jam tracks”...
These are backing tracks accompanied by a video which shows you:
The chord that is being played at that moment.
The upcoming chord changes (so you can be ready for them)
A fretboard diagram showing you where the 6 notes from blues scale are (and which ones to play during chord changes).
And so with this powerful tool, even if you’re a total beginner with zero music theory…
You’ll have all the information you need to improvise, right in front of you.
But as we start improvising, we’ll keep things simple…
And just play the root note of each chord when the chord changes…
That’s just three notes and if you’ve never consciously done this before, your playing is going to instantly sound a lot more musical.
However this is just the start.
Because when you start playing just one note per bar…
You’re going to immediately feel strong resistance to doing something so restrictive and boring…
So you're going to want to add in those other notes in the scale…
And combine them with various techniques like bends, slides, vibrato and more, to make your playing sound more interesting…
So already, you’ve learned how to awaken your natural creative instinct.
However, unless you have something specific to focus this on…
You’re going to fall back into the “creative freedom” paradox all over again…
And feel paralyzedby all the possible options.
So to avoid that, we’re going to focus on the 6 notes in the blues scale in justone part of the neck…
And I’m going to reveal ALL of the simple but awesome sounding insights, patterns, and musical ideas I’ve discovered over the past 30+ years…
And to show you how to apply all of this to 4 different styles of blues music!
But make no mistake…
This is not like other courses, where you’ll only be shown exact licks that you can only parrot back note for note…
Instead, you’ll have a playbook of “go-to” ideas, techniques, and habits that will allow you to improvise musical blues solos, right away…
While being empowered to apply your own variations on these…
Until eventually you find that you are just exploring your own unique and creative musical ideas.
(And you’ll still be able to include these pre-prepared licks in your solos and even break them down to create your own licks, using these frameworks!)
But then, we get to the best part…
It’s Time to 5X Your Improv Results (This Is Where Things Get Exciting)
Once you've applied these steps...
In a matter of days (if not hours), you’ll be improvising in a musical way that feels connected to the backing track…
And when you’ve mastered this tiny, 6 note section of the guitar neck, you’re going to do something incredibly exciting…
Which is also mind-blowingly simple.
Because you’ll be shown 5 other parts of the neck that contain these exact same notes…
In a pattern that will feel almost identical to your fingers…
Which means that anything you’ve played until now, can instantly and effortlessly be moved up and down the guitar neck, without changing a single thing about the lick (except for the starting position)…
Allowing you to instantly and effortlessly inject more variety into your playing…
And giving the musical ideas you’ve developed a different flavor and feel as you move them to different parts of the fretboard.
But that’s not all…
Because you’ll also learn how you can easily and effortlessly transfer these licks to different keys.
So instead of learning a lick in A minor and then only being able to use this specific lick if the backing track happens to be in the same key…
You’ll be able to take any lick or idea you’ve ever created…
And instantly transpose it to different keys by slightly shifting the starting position of the patterns you’ve learned…
Which means with this method…
No matter what the key of the song or backing track is…
Or what style of blues music is being played…
You’ll be able to jam along with a band or backing track…
Effortlessly expressing your own unique and creative musical ideas and licks up and down the guitar neck!
(Even if you started applying this as a complete beginner with zero music theory or prior knowledge of the fretboard).
And you can learn all of this with my new blues improvisation course:

“Big ol light bulb moments here! It's just starting to come to me and it seems I somehow know where to resolve to, where to move up to, where I can slide in and add color notes. This is a ******* miracle for me. I didn't even think I'd be very interested in the details of this section. My "why" has been to accompany my vocals, on acoustic, but this has opened another whole way to explore, and will add to the songs that I explore for my vocals This is just really awright :)”
