How to play Cecilia by Simon and Garfunkel Guitar Lesson
This is the third single from the duo’s (Paul Simon & Art Garfunkel) critically acclaimed and commercially successful album, “Bridge Over Troubled Water” released in 1970. Simon was inspired to write the song after the duo and their friends started banging on a piano bench during a late night party. The distinct sound on the song was created by matching the rhythm created by the sound of the machine while employing reverb and recording it with a tape recorder. Simon later wrote the lyrics and composed the guitar line for the song after.
